History of the Park

Historian Dr. James K. Matthews has compiled a 2020 Park History.  He wrote Historical Highlights as the Volunteer Park Historian.  It covers major events at the Park in the year 2020 with their historical backgrounds. Topics include Covid-19, tortoises, ospreys, archeology, and Tropical Storm Eta.
