Artist in Residence - 2019

We are pleased to announce that the 2019 Delnor-Wiggins Artist in Residence is Rod Wiley. He is our only repeat Artist so far, as he was our 3rd Artist in Residence in 2009. The majority of his work focuses on local flora and fauna of SW?Florida.

R J Wiley, as he prefers to be called, has resided in Bonita Springs for more than thirty five years. He has canvassed  all of the wildlife areas including Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary, the Everglades, and many of the backwaters, including Delnor- Wiggins Pass, watching for birds. From these experiences he has honed his photography skill by producing amazing photos of Florida wildlife and wildlands. Mr. Wiley's works can be seen in the Florida Naturalist, Audubon Magazine and in Gulfshore Life Magazine as well as in the Nature Store At Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary.

He was kind enough to provide several of his photographs for the first redesign of the Friends of Delnor-Wiggins website in 2001 and during succeeding enhancements. Thanks, RJ!
