1. You will receive 12 FREE passes to the Park
2. You may attend FREE Ranger-led activities
3. You will meet interesting and like-minded people
4. You will enjoy meeting and working with the Park Manager and the Park staff
5. You will be invited to attend picnics, special outings and monthly meetings
6. You will expand your outdoor skills and interests
7. You will be invited to attend SWFL Area Volunteer Appreciation Day celebration
8. You will be assisting us in helping to further a goal to Help Us Keep It Wild!
   

OUR MISSION

• To promote Public Awareness, use, and enjoyment of the park
• To assist the park management and staff with facility maintenance, resource
  management, visitor services and recycling
• To improve the park facilities by providing amenities through fund-raisers
• To learn more about the native environment of this park and other Florida State Parks
  

How Can YOU Actively Help?

Your talents, skills and interest will make you an important State Park Volunteer.   Become involved in any of these activities:

• Recycling and resource management projects
• Native Plant Nursery & Butterfly Gardening
• Exotic Plant Removal
• Interpretive Activities: Displays, programs, catalog photos, write articles
• Desktop Publishing: Newsletters, brochures, informational handouts
• Park and local history, music, arts and crafts, story telling, photography, design & illustration
• Carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting or building & equipment maintenance
• Fundraising, accounting and financial management
• Help clean up the park after storms and holidays
• Demonstrate creativity and initiative by developing your own project
