Park. Supporting
Environmental
Awareness,
Education,
and Stewardship.
Our
Mission:

To
promote
public
awareness,
use,
and enjoyment
of Delnor
Wiggins
Pass
State
Park.

To
assist
park
management
and staff
with
facility
maintenance,
resource
management,
visitor
services,
and recycling.

To
improve
the park
through
fund
raising
events.
-
To
learn
more
about
the natural
environment
of this
barrier
island
and other
parks
managed
by the
Florida
Park
Service.
Our
Accomplishments:
- Managed
an aluminum
recycling
program
to promote
environmental
responsibility,
using funds
earned
to purchase
non-budgeted
amenities
for the
park. People
are encouraged
to contribute
their cans
and other
recyclable
aluminum
to this
program.
- Financed
Sea Turtle
research
initiatives
and educational
programs.
Promote
the park’s
ecosystem
and its
inhabitants
during
resource
management
and school
program
days.
- Annual
sponsor
of Wildlife
and Wildlands
Art Show
and Earth
Day events.
Proceeds
are used
for park
maintenance
and other
facility
support.
- Contributed
funds for
boardwalk
improvements,
grills,
computers,
and ice
machine.
- Participate
in annual
Coastal
Cleanup
efforts.
